History denotes the Inn and tavern dates back to 1850. Originally, a hotel it bordered the Wissahickon Creek. The land was originally owned by William Penn which enjoys a grand history. The Inn has been visited and painted by many artists (me included) throughout the years and painted in every season imaginable.
